Consultation on Admissions Arrangements for 2026 student intake

A new catchment area for John Mason School is proposed for entry to the school from September 2026, bringing it into line with other secondary schools in the town.

We are consulting on this proposed change between 2 December 2024 and 13 January 2025.

We would welcome your comments which should be sent to  consult@abingdonlearningtrust.org by 13 January 2025, when trustees will review responses and then formally determine the arrangements.

Parents of children born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 (inclusive) need to apply for a secondary school place for September 2025.

Your child will be visited at their primary school by their New Head of Year and Student Manager to get to know them a little better.

Transition Day – Thursday 26th June 2025 - your child’s first full day at John Mason School.

Our Open Evening this year will be held on 3rd October 2024 and we are holding five open mornings during the Autumn term.
