Year 6 into Year 7 2025

Thank you for choosing John Mason School.  This page will give you all the information that you need to ensure a smooth transition from year 6 to year 7.

Below, you will find our latest Information Booklet  and the Pupil Enrolment Form that you are required to complete if you have accepted a place with us for your child to start in September 2025. 

Forms marked 'required' are mandatory and you must complete these.  If you are eligible for Free School Meals, please also complete the form.  Please complete the forms below by 24th April.  Your responses will be electronically submitted to us but if you experience problems, please let us know at eriordan@johnmason.school 

This will mean that we have all the information we need to organise tutor groups and we will have some knowledge of your child before we visit them in their primary settings.

Supporting children's Transition to Secondary School

Once you have been offered a place by Oxfordshire County Council, you MUST complete these forms:

Please complete this form with your child to tell us a bit more about them.  This information is very useful to help us place students in the best Tutor Group.

Student Information Form

If your believe your child is entitled to Free School Meals at secondary school, you MUST complete this form as soon as possible.  Even if your child currently receives Free School Meals a their primary school, you still need to complete this form.

School Uniform

Price and Buckland offer a free delivery to school option for uniform orders during the school year. If you order uniform by 23rd June 2024, you can have it delivered for free to John Mason School and this can be collected by you on or before 19th July 2024.  After this date, all uniform orders will need to be delivered to your home address ready for the start of the school term in September.

If you are joining us as a new starter, please ensure you order PE kit in the correct house colours.  For Year 6 into Year 7 students, we will send your child's house name in June before they come for their Transition Day.

The John Mason Association (JMA) will be holding a sale of pre-loved uniform at the Parent Information Evening on 26th June.
