Inclusion

At some point in their education most students will need extra support to enable them to reach their full potential. For other students, sustained support will be needed throughout their time at school. It is the role of the Inclusion Team to coordinate the support students need to enable them to achieve their potential.

Identifying students who need extra support remains a whole-school responsibility and at JMS we strive to ensure that all students are given the best chance to succeed, both in class and through the wider school community. We do this by sharing information on how best a student learns, by providing tailored impact-assessed interventions and consulting with external agencies to help those students close gaps in their learning and develop personally. We work collaboratively with teachers on best inclusive practice, ensuring across the teaching community we all have the detailed knowledge on the specific needs of each student on the SEND register.
